DIY 3D Printed Fashion Workshop

  • Makers Place 1 Woodburn Street Redfern, NSW, 2016 Australia (map)

The future of customisable fashion is here and more easily accessible that you might think. 3D printing is a groundbreaking technology that is giving makers more power than ever!

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to create your own 3d printed fabric and turn it into your own creation. You will also be shown examples of what artists and makers in the local community have been creating from dresses made from upcycled materials to electronic embedded fabrics!

Makers Place member Conroy Bradley has been developing his own techniques for creating 3D printed fabric which he turns into fabulous wearable clothing.  Born out of a desire to show anything is possible if you give it a go, he wishes to impart this making optimism in this one off workshop developed especially for Sydney Design Festival.

This workshop is intended to inspire you to play and create something unique. No previous experience is necessary, just a love of experimentation. There is no CAD (Computer Aided Design) modelling software involved. It is recommended for ages 12 and up.
