3D Printing is a groundbreaking technology that is supporting and disrupting many industries around the world.
This workshop will introduce you to 3D printing and the technical skill of operating the machines on offer at Makers Place in Redfern.
After this 2 hour induction you will be able to tinker and experiment with the 3D printers on your own and know how to create a successful 3D print.
With a maximum of 8 people, you have a close one-to-one chat with our resident 3D printing experts to get the most out of the workshop. You can either bring your own 3D printable file (must be a .STL file) or if you don't have a design in mind you can learn by using a 3D file we have created to help people with a disability. The final object will then be donated to someone who needs this tool to help their daily life.
*Please note: This workshop contains no CAD design. You will be learning how to send a file to print successfully.
